,,From city to city” Nida (Lithuania) – Ventspils (Latvia)

Aim: To continue to study, become acquainted and popularize cycle tourism possibilities along the Baltic Sea coast from Ventspils to Klaipeda including also the Couronian Spit. To involve in the bicycle tour more attractive and professional people, organizations and wider part of community who would be interested in development of tourism branch and healthy way of living. To change experience and continue to implement different interesting projects in future.
Dates of the tour: July 13-17, 2004
Length of the tour (according to the map): Approximately 310 km
Starting point: Nida, the Couronian Spit, Lithuania
Departure time and venue (RIGA): July 12, 2004, From Riga at 12.00 o’clock
In case if the number of people wishing to go by bus from Riga would be too small, the participants from Riga would have to get to Ventspils by their own chosen means of transportation. The organizers of the cycle tour will inform duly.

It is possible to apply for participation in some separate cycle tour parts by informing the organizers of the tour in advance.
Only persons from 12 years old may participate in the tour.
Applications have to be submitted by July 1, 2004!
Participants of the tour should provide oneself with the following things:
1) passport (in case the border would be crossed). The period of validity of the passport should not be smaller than 90 days;
2) safety cap (for your safety), spare tire, pump;
3) technical passport of the bicycle (if possible);
4) tent, sleeping-bag, waterproof clothes;
5) individual first aid set.
Please make sure that your state of health is adequate to manage to cycle the length of your chosen part of the tour!
